Spotted this obliging Southern Hawker on one of the reed leaves in the garden pond. Obviously, couldn't resist some photos.
Southern Hawker: This is a regular breeding species in the pond & the number of larva is probably probably responsible for the decline in Azure & Large Red Damselflies numbers in the pond

Great Tit: While I was checking the Southern Hawker photos this Great Tit dropped in for a drink. Quite unconcerned I was sitting about a metre from where it was drinking
